The Cultural Arts Center of Carrollton is hosting an exhibit “Carrollton Collects” premiering February 24th and continuing thru April 6th. This exhibit features work from the private collections of Carrollton residents. It’s a wonderful insight into the diverse taste of art collectors of our city.
As part of the exhibit, Collecting Carrollton Silent Auction will be open in the center’s Galleria February 24 – March 9. The silent auction features a diverse mix of artwork by West Georgia artists and allows visitors to step into the shoes of a collector. Money raised will be shared between the artwork’s creator and a UWG scholarship fund.
Five of our Blue Door Gallery artists have work that is up for bidding in the Collecting Carrollton Silent Auction. Candace Fincher, Elizabeth Mobley, Scott Foxx, Laura Smith and Marcela Kuykendall each have art that can be viewed and bid upon. Be sure to stop by the Center to see the exhibit and to bid for your chance at owning a piece from some of Carrollton’s finest!
