The Blue Door Gallery, an artist cooperative, represents a collaboration between the City of Carrollton and the Carrollton Artist Guild.
Purpose: Our purpose is to support a vibrant community of fine artists and crafts persons by providing an opportunity to exhibit and sell regionally under a juried system; to enhance professional development of local artists; and to culturally enrich the community we serve.
Location: 115 Rome Street, Carrollton, GA.
Hours of Operation: Thursday –Saturday, 10-4.
Business Model: Cooperative
- The Artists’ Cooperative is owned and democratically controlled by active members.
- Active members serve as jury for prospective exhibitors.
- Cooperatives are motivated not by profit, but by service – to meet members’ needs for marketing while educating the wider community about art.
- Artists combine resources to more effectively market and brand their artwork, improving the incomes of their members.
